Universcience has contracted the Casson Mann/Atelier Philéas team and our acousticians for the renovation of the Palais de la Découverte in Paris.

Our team was formed in an interdisciplinary approach: first of all, 3 complementary skills with Atelier Philéas for coordination and architecture (micro-architectures), Casson Mann for exhibition desgin and artistic direction, Cros&Patras and Loma for the design of the manikins and Studio Jouan/Think Acoustique for the acoustic design.

Sulian Olivo from Studio Jouan: “Mastering the sound comfort of the visitor experience will be particularly studied in this project, in order to bring together the different discoveries and activities of this museum of the future intended for all generations”.

The objective is to work in a true collective intelligence, whether with the Universcience teams or those of all the other players in the renovation of the Grand Palais building.

The project is installed in the architectural composition of the Palais d’Antin, the West wing of the Grand Palais which has housed the Palais de la Découverte since 1937, and which will regain, thanks to the restoration in progress, its splendor and its original architectural qualities. This new scenographic offer supported by the Universcience teams and its president Bruno Maquart shows today’s science in action around 3 main axes: wonder, curiosity and doing.
