Weltmuseum

Vienna, Austria

Hoskins Architects

Following an international competition in 2013, Hoskins Architects, in collaboration with Ralph Appelbaum Associates, were appointed to redesign the exhibition spaces of the Weltmuseum located in the historic Hofburg Palace in Vienna.

The facilities include an event space dedicated to small musical performances (piano recitals, string quartets, jazz) but also conferences. Following our working relationship (see Shetland's Mareel but also covering other projects not described here), Gareth Hoskins contacted Sébastien Jouan to join their team and provide the acoustic design for the space.

Client: KHM-Museumsverband

Architect: Hoskins Architects

Acoustic Design: Theatre Projects
