Located in the heart of Times Square, The Lyric Theater is one of the most recognizable theater of Broadway’s thriving theater district. The Lyric Theatre was until recently home to the multi-award winning show, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Needing restoration to previous historical conditions, Studio Jouan has been appointed by New 42nd Street, who manages the theatre for New York City, to provide acoustic consultancy services on the room acoustic conditions of its historical auditorium.

Working alongside Production Management Specialist David M Jensen, Studio Jouan established acoustic implications on budget for renovation to either the original historical configuration with a 2000 seat auditorium or to the 2017 auditorium configuration with a 1500 seat capacity.
