New York Hall of Science

New York, USA

The New York Hall of Science, located on the site of the 1964 International Exhibition celebrating the NASA space race is undergoing an extensive refurbishment.

Working alongside WE-DESIGNS, Chu Gooding Architects, Theatre Consultant David Jensen and Lighting Designer Jason Livingston, we provided the acoustic programming required for the refurbishment of the 300 seat auditorium, café and ancillary spaces.

The auditorium and Café are expected to generate additional revenues through rentals and will serve schools, visitors, educational organizations, local artists and entertainers as well as local businesses by providing event and meeting space, educational events, film screenings, and new capabilities such as livestreaming events.

The expansion project will enable The New York Hall of Science to increase the number and type of events it offers. The project includes general upgrades that will benefit the Queens community, offer extended opportunities for STEM education, and establish increased and sustainable revenue sources for the Museum.

This project is funded by the NYS Empire State Development Corporation (ESD).
